Tahoe E brake
A common problem on a Tahoe is the rear brake backing plates rust out. This causes metal flakes to enter the E brake drum portion of the rotor and make noise. Eventually the backing plates need to be replaced. To do so you have to pull the axles. Many times the adjuster pads will fall out because they are dried out. When this happens there is a little pin that will probably fall out as well. If that pin is not put back in place, the E brakes will not work after they’ve been put back together. Here is some info that should help you with this problem.
